Dr. Douglas M. Osborne, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Osborne, a proud UCLA graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology, earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1978. Over a career spanning more than 25 years in private practice, Dr. Osborne built a reputation for providing compassionate and expert care to his patients.

A dedicated member of the optometry profession, Dr. Osborne contributed as a member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, San Diego County Optometric Society, and American Academy of Optometry. His leadership extended to serving as the Past President of the Board of Directors for the San Diego County Optometric Society. He also participated in community initiatives such as Sight for Students and VSP, underscoring his commitment to accessible vision care for all.

Now retired, Dr. Osborne leaves a lasting legacy of exceptional patient care and community involvement. He and his wife Leslie are enjoying their time with their four children and two grandsons, along with pursuing hobbies like camping and attending North Coast Church in central Vista. His dedication to his craft and community will continue to inspire future generations in the field of eye care.
